My name is Adriana Aquina, a Mental Health Coach with one year away from being a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and with over 10 years of experience, my journey has led me to work with diverse populations, ranging from children and families to adults, schools, county-level initiatives, and those dealing with serious mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders.
Embarking on my entrepreneurial venture in March of 2023 with the mission of creating a mental health movement to cover as many populations as possible, creating a safe space for anyone that comes to Aquina’s Cup of Therapy. In this endeavor, my aim is to create a transformative experience, a movement that reaches far and wide, touching the lives of many. At Aquina's Cup of Therapy, we are not merely offering a service; we are brewing a better tomorrow. Adriana Aquina is the owner and founder of Aquina's Cup of Therapy, a mental health business offering transformative and positive changes through a holistic and personalised approach. In this episode, Adriana shares her journey through postpartum depression after the birth of her second child and the thoughts of suicide that encompassed her during this dark time. We discuss her own experiences and share with others how to recognise when you are on a downward spiral, when to reach out for help, and the courage we all hold within us to be open about our struggles so we can help others and not feel alone. Adriana Aquina has over 10 years of experience in Mental Health Field. She has worked with a broad population, from children, adults, serious mentally ill (SMI), families, teenagers. Recently, she started my own Business called Aquina’s Cup of Therapy which offers mental health coaching, workshops and trainings for mental health in youth. She is very passionate in her work and hopes to continue growing awareness and reaching as many people as she can.
